85:6 “Will
You not Yourself revive us again, That Your people may rejoice in You?”
I
am truly looking forward to a great time during our Spring Revival with Pastor
Darrell Gooden to be held on May 16-18. These special days are going to be ones
in which we’re believing the Lord to breathe new life into each of us during
this Spring season! Revival
is something that is very important to us. In these verses of scripture the
psalmist is asking “will You not revive
us again?” This reminds me of an incident that took place a couple of
years ago as I was ministering at Bethany Place Personal Care Home. As I was
concluding my service, one of the residents there went into cardiac arrest. I
will never forget going to her and seeing the bright blue tint to her lips. I
immediately knew I needed to take action if she would survive this critical
condition. Immediately I put into action the principles that I had learned many
years ago. I took her to the floor, cleared her airway, and began to breath my
own breathe into her. As I did so it was only a short time until she was revived
and came back to life. This process it was a very difficult one because when I
began chest compressions I heard her bones crack and break in her body- but I
knew if I did not take continue she stood NO chance of survival! God
wants to do the very same thing within us. He wants to revive us again and give
us the breath of life to make us His. The psalmist makes it clear in this
passage of scripture that your people will rejoice in you. I will never forget
going to the hospital afterwards and hearing her being so happy that she was
brought back to life! She thanks me continuously even to this day! The Lord
wants to do the very same thing within our lives! He wants to revive us
spiritually so that we may be alive! I pray that you will set aside these dates
to be renewed under the anointing power of Pastor Darrell Gooden!
